Dedicated Server Tool Available on Steam

Digital Extremes and Kaos Studios are happy to announce the release of Homefront’s Dedicated Server Tool, which is currently available via Steam Tools (from the Steam client taskbar, click on “View” then “Tools”). With its easy to use graphical interface, players can now manage and maintain their very own server. The complete list of features can be found below. We are happy to help experienced tool developers who are looking to create their own remote control (RCON) tools. If interested, please email:

FEATURES:

Set server name
Password
Kick team killers / Max team kills
Set max players (players can specify from 2-32)
Round time
Respawn time (1-10 seconds)

Score limit:

# Team Deathmatch (1000-30000)
# Ground Control (400-2000 – the higher the number specified, the longer the match will take to complete)

VAC secured (yes/no)
Auto team balancing (yes/no)
Friendly fire (on/off)
Disable vehicles (yes/no)
Record game (yes/no)
Player list
Local and global ban list
Server administrators will also have the option to kick players, enforce spectating, or swap teams.

Combat Studios Tour of Duties are unlike any clan ladder or other online tournaments, our members participate in a simulated war, with commanding officers, divisions, and a score system to show the progress of the war from week to week. The Tour revolves around regular practices, large-scale company practices and huge, up to ten hour battles fought twice a week across a variety of servers. Members may attend as much or as little of battles as they like.
Players will have the option to join any of our tournaments and be assigned to one of the armies in that theatre of war. Each army will have the required structure and will battle twice a week against the opposing army on maps representing the territory being fought for. The progress of the war is displayed on a unique scoreboard where territories change hands based on which army wins them. Each Tour lasts approximately 12 weeks. At the end of each Tour, the outcome of the prior conflict is taken into consideration and the battle will enter new areas, featuring new content and action.
While we are a very serious gaming community we understand that our members have lives; you will be able to attend as much or as little of battles as you would like. ACHTUNG! Hard Performance Dedicated Server Test
Hallo Liebe Homefront Community,

Wir sind im Team der Dedicated Server Tester und werden heute ab 18 Uhr unseren Root Server mit 12 Homefront Gameservern belasten. Unser Ziel wird sein diverse Performance Tests, Ping Tests und ganz klar die Belastung für Ram und CPU unter die Lupe zu nehmen. Unsere Ergebnisse und Daten werden dann umgehend an KAOS-Edmar versendet.

Wir würden uns Extrem freuen, wenn die Homefront Zocker Gemeinde unseren Test beiwohnt und unsere Publicserver besucht. Testet Sie was das Zeug hält und belegt ordentlich Slots um genauere Extremwerte zu erzielen. Wir bieten natürlich Publicserver in allen Modis und Einstellungen.

Unser Server Team Arbeitet mit Hochdruck an den Gameservern um diese um 18 Uhr Online zu Bringen. Die Servernamen um diese im ServerBrowser zu finden werden gegen 17 Uhr veröffentlicht .

Großer Dank an KAOS-Edmar für die Bereitstellung der Files und an cRo4Ti4 für die erfolgreiche Vermittlung.

Achtung! Die Server Files gibt es nicht zum Download, da Sie nicht für die Weltweite Publizierung gedacht sind. Es sind ausschließlich Test Files, um Kaos entsprechende Responce zu geben. Die Regulären Serverfiles gibt es nach eigenen Informationen über Steam Anfang/Mitte nächster Woche. Wir bitten darum keinerlei Anfragen auf die Files zu Stellen. Dazu bitten wir um euer Verständnis.

Patch / Dedicated Server Update KAOS-Edmar Tester gesucht ?

Bin  auf diesen unscheinbaren Eintrag gestoßen, Brandheiß und Aktuell, um den ein oder anderen, als Anreiz zu dienen, eine PM an KAOS-Edmar  zu senden.

Here’s the latest (this is not an April Fool’s joke ;)

- Final patch testing is wrapping up and we will be releasing as soon as it as approved. How soon? ASAP.

- For those interested in the dedicated server build, we have added additional RCON functionality for 3rd party tools and final testing is underway with GSPs and individuals in various territories worldwide. I have several open slots, so if you are interested in testing and providing feedback send me a PM with your full name, email address, and SkypeID (if you have one).

Thanks for your patience – I’ll update the thread as soon as I have additional info.

Update Homefront Patch ?!

As you’ve probably heard, the Xbox 360 Title Update just went live this morning which we expect to address all ‘Profile Freeze’ issues. In the background, we’ve been hard at work on further improvements which should be following hot on the heels of this update. Details to follow tomorrow.

We have a full-time team here at Kaos Studios dedicated to ongoing support on the technical side, as well as development of a wide range of exciting DLC that we’re not quite ready to talk about just yet, but hope to unveil to you in the very near future.

We’d like to thank you for your continued patience, and assure you that we will continue to support our multiplayer community for many months to come.
