Dedicated Server Tool Available on Steam

Digital Extremes and Kaos Studios are happy to announce the release of Homefront’s Dedicated Server Tool, which is currently available via Steam Tools (from the Steam client taskbar, click on “View” then “Tools”). With its easy to use graphical interface, players can now manage and maintain their very own server. The complete list of features can be found below. We are happy to help experienced tool developers who are looking to create their own remote control (RCON) tools. If interested, please email:

Server administrators will also have the option to kick players, enforce spectating, or swap teams.

Tour of Duty

Combat Studios Tour of Duties are unlike any clan ladder or other online tournaments, our members participate in a simulated war, with commanding officers, divisions, and a score system to show the progress of the war from week to week. The Tour revolves around regular practices, large-scale company practices and huge, up to ten hour battles fought twice a week across a variety of servers. Members may attend as much or as little of battles as they like.
Players will have the option to join any of our tournaments and be assigned to one of the armies in that theatre of war. Each army will have the required structure and will battle twice a week against the opposing army on maps representing the territory being fought for. The progress of the war is displayed on a unique scoreboard where territories change hands based on which army wins them. Each Tour lasts approximately 12 weeks. At the end of each Tour, the outcome of the prior conflict is taken into consideration and the battle will enter new areas, featuring new content and action.
While we are a very serious gaming community we understand that our members have lives; you will be able to attend as much or as little of battles as you would like. Update Homefront Patch ?!
As you’ve probably heard, the Xbox 360 Title Update just went live this morning which we expect to address all ‘Profile Freeze’ issues. In the background, we’ve been hard at work on further improvements which should be following hot on the heels of this update. Details to follow tomorrow.
We have a full-time team here at Kaos Studios dedicated to ongoing support on the technical side, as well as development of a wide range of exciting DLC that we’re not quite ready to talk about just yet, but hope to unveil to you in the very near future.
We’d like to thank you for your continued patience, and assure you that we will continue to support our multiplayer community for many months to come.

Episode 1 bis 5
Seit den 10.03.2011 haben die Kaos Studios nagelneue Videos mit zusammengeschnittenen Spielszenen aus Homefront veröffentlicht. Es handelt sich dabei um 5 Videos. Wir von Homefront.Hardware-Mods.com haben nun die 5 Videos in einem Bericht zusammengefasst.
Video 1 und 2 zeigen Szenen aus dem Mehrspielermodus. Video 3 und 4 zeigen fast zu 100 Prozent Szenen aus dem Einzelspielermodus, der Rest stammt aus dem Multiplayer. Und zu guter Letzt wartet das Video 5 wieder mit Szenen aus dem Mehrspielermodus auf. Alle Videos werden teilweise durch einen Entwickler kommentiert.

Launch Trailer
THQ und die Kaos Studios Präsentieren den Offiziellen 1 ½ Minütigen Launch Trailer zu Homefront. Homefront steht ab dem 15. März für den PC, die Playstation 3 und die Xbox 360 in den Läden bereit und wartet mit einer einzigartigen Geschichte auf.
Wir schreiben das Jahr 2027. Die Welt leidet unter einer mehr als zehnjährigen Energiekrise und die Wirtschaftssysteme sind zusammengebrochen. Die einstige Supermacht USA wurde zum Ziel eines nordkoreanischen Angriffs. Amerikanische Einkaufszentren, Vororte und Straßen sind nun Kampfgebiet, auf dem der zivile Widerstand für Freiheit kämpft. Homefront bietet eine fesselnde Einzelspielergeschichte aus der Feder von John Milius (Apocalypse Now, Die rote Flut) und zieht die Spieler in einen interaktiven und kinoreifen First-Person-Shooter, in dem sie die Rolle eines Infanteristen oder die Kontrolle über eine Vielzahl von Luft- und Bodenfahrzeugen übernehmen. Neben der Einzelspielerkampagne liefert Homefront einen umfassenden Mehrspielerteil.

Singleplayer Features:

Battle Points und Ground Control): Battle Points sind als Währung innerhalb eines Matches einsetzbar und werden im Spiel durch bestimmte Aktionen verdient. Ground Control beinhaltet zur Eroberung stehende Kontrollpunkte, die ein Team einnehmen und halten sollte. Durch Kombination dieser Features entsteht ein dynamisches Schlachtfeld mit zunehmender Intensität und wechselnden Hauptschauplätzen.
