Phogue Homefront Procon 2.0 Features

Procon 2.0 Features

Procon 2.0 ALPHA will be available here in the forums as a developer release on 16/03/11.

This version will mostly be used by plugin authors to help finalize the first plugin API available in the BETA – which I hope to release on the 1′st of April.

This version will initially support Bad Company 2, Medal of Honor 2010, Call of Duty Black Ops and Homefront. A lot has been done, but a *lot* is still required to meet my expectations of the software.

This will be available for testing and feedback by the community. You guys are the ones that use it, so try it out and help build this software with us. So far the majority of Procon.Core and Procon.Net has been completed, the last piece of the puzzle is Procon.UI (which is always the last thing to be developed).

Net

  • Procon now supports multiple games with the foundation to support every game.

Plugins

  • Plugins now load compiled assemblies instead of compiling their own (neater code, bigger plugins and easier to collaborate efforts on a plugin)
  • Procon now collects all information for a plugin, instead of making a plugin a sub-rcon-application on its own
  • Plugins have been designed to allow for growth and expansion at a later date without breaking older plugins
  • Plugins in Procon 1.0 are not compatible with Procon 2.0, however the conversion shouldn’t be a massive one if a plugin dev chooses to transfer
  • Automatic updates should now just happen in the background
  • Now you connect to other procons, so you can edit a remote procon like you were using it locally – no more “Parent layer control”.
  • NLP – Tell procon “!Kick everyone from Australia” and it’ll do it. “!you dicks with a ping over 200, gtfo”. “!kick everyone with a ping over 200″. “!ban phogue until the 4′th of august for “teamkilling everyone”". It should open up in game commands to allow for very complex commands but in a natural way. The hope is you “tell procon what you want it to do” instead of memorizing a series of commands.

Permissions

  • Teamspeak3 (but cut down a little bit) style groups/permissions/accounts.
  • You first create a group, then assign permissions to the group then assign accounts to a group. An account can belong to multiple groups.

UI

  • Less confusing between the “Local Layer” and “Parent Layer” (this goes with your other point). All layers act and look as if they are “local”.
  • Ability to view multiple game connections at once.
  • Customizable (eventually) view – i.e. Chat/Player List only.

Homefront Admin Commands

Homefront Admin Commands

What follows is a list of admin commands that can be executed from the console while in game.

Contents:

- Authenticating
- List of Useful Admin Commands
- ForceTeamSwitch
- Kick
- KickBan
- UnBan
- Kill
- MakeSpectate
- NextMap
- BigSay
- SetAutoBalance

Authenticating:

In order to execute any admin commands on the server, the player needs to log in as an admin using adminlogin . Once logged in as admin, these commands can be executed using admin command .

List of Useful Admin Commands

ForceTeamSwitch:

Usage: admin forceteamswitch
Forces the given player to switch teams. If the player is alive he will be killed first.

Kick:

Usage: admin kick
Kicks specified player from the server.

KickBan:

Usage: admin kickban
Bans specified player from the server by Steam ID.

Remarks:

The banlist lives in GCGame.ini, in section Engine.AccessControl. The array ‘BannedIDs’ specifies two values per ban: the banned Steam ID and the name at the time of the ban, which is not used in determining ban status. This list can be modified directly (though not at runtime), hypothetically allowing shared banlists. IMPORTANT! Due to a low-level engine bug, the banlist requires a default blank ban (which you may see as BannedID=<0..0>, NameWhenBanned=”") for the first element of the array. Sorry for the inconvenience!

UnBan:

Usage: admin unban
Removes a ban from the banlist based on playername.

Remarks:

If there are multiple instances of the name with different Steam ID’s, this will remove the first one found. See the Ban command for information on how the banlist is stored.

Kill:

Usage: admin kill
Kills the target player if alive.

MakeSpectate:

Usage: admin makespectate
Turns the given player into a spectator until they leave the server.

Remarks:

Spectate mode is basically an online version of the demo playback. This feature is still a little rough around the edges, and there is currently know way of making a spectator a player again. Spectators count towards the total number of players in a server

NextMap:

Usage: admin nextmap
Cycles to the next map in the map queue (for dedicated servers this is stored in DedicatedPlaylist).

BigSay:

Usage: admin bigsay
Chats a text message to the Message of the Day widget for all players in the game.

SetAutoBalance:

Usage: admin setautobalance
Changes the status of server-side auto-balance.

Remarks:

When enabled, this auto-balance system will:

Disallow team changes that unbalance the teams during the game
Will perform an auto-balance during intermission

Homefront PC Patch 1.0.3 Now Available!

The latest patch is now available on Steam and will be downloaded the next time you start Homefront.

FEATURES Version 1.0.384501

2011-04-05_00001

Ban list rework

·         We now store two separate ban lists on servers; a local ban list, and a global ban list. The local ban list is for bans that originate on the server (via kickbans, etc). The global ban list is for bans that are initiated by a trusted ban list authority. The ban lists store the date of ban, the name of the admin who initiated the ban, the reason for the ban, and a URL field for any relevant ban evidence (demos etc).

New Feature – DEMO URL

·         A DemoURL can now be specified in the server playlist, this is used to indicate the location of stored demo files to user’s in-game (see the multiplayer options screen). A good practice for server admins would be to share the demo folder via FTP, this would allow users to grab demos of games they starred in, and also (very importantly!) allow users and anti-cheat authorities to download evidence for cheat reporting. Incidentally, it is now possible to dump all users unique steamID’s from both in-game, and in-demos to the console or text file (this will make reporting abusive players and enforcing bans incredibly easy).

GAME BALANCE

·         RPG’s now deal additional damage to HMMWV’s.
·         Lowered m200 and m110 sniper rifle damages. The only 1 shot possible is now headshots.
·         Flak jacket now has a lower BP cost, and a slight effectiveness buff.
·         Diablo damage adjusted.
·         Weapon is taken out of ADS and accuracy decreases when jumping.

OPTIMIZATIONS & FIXES

·         The Rhino drones weapon attachment was not being properly moved with the Rhino drone on dedicated servers, causing the rockets to fire incorrectly. This is now fixed.
·         We have added some animation optimizations for large player games.
·         Several UI related improvements were added for large player games.
·         Fixed scaling text zooming on Battle Commander when opening up the battle chat or squad UI.
·         Switched the buttons around on the load out rename confirmation dialog to better abide by conventions.
·         Improved SLI/CrossFireX support.
·         A few reported issues with WinXP 64 bit edition have been addressed.
·         Improved menu navigation with analogue controls.

GENERAL IMPROVEMENTS

·         User feedback for kicks and bans has been improved.
·         The intermission lobby now displays clan tags.
·         Text chat is now possible in the kill cam, spawn selection, and intermission lobby screens.

NEW SETTINGS & CONTROL OPTIONS

·         EnableD3D10/11 is now accessible via the system settings menu.
·         Mouse acceleration is now accessible via the controls menu.
·         Mouse smoothing is now accessible via the controls menu.
